You@IU

If you are a Freshman or transfer student (at any level), You@IU is designed for you!  It's all about:

  • Decoding college, the campus, and IU resources
  • Exploring & Connecting personal goals with choices of major, degree, and career
  • Engaging in campus life

In other words, it’s all the stuff you want to know about and do, inside and outside of the classroom, except with this class you get credit for it! Contact the coordinator, Anthony Guest-Scott for more information.

Resources

During class, we do stuff like dissect the library, talk choices with our colleagues at the CDC, explore the Mathers, and much more!

Getting Involved

The culminating assignment is a campus engagement project where students get involved in a student organization or other volunteer opportunity in the IU Bloomington community.

I learned about a lot of different amenities IU has to offer that I didn't know about prior to taking the course. It allowed me to look at IU with more open eyes and as a result, it felt more like home a little bit more every week.
