X152:The Right Start
Education-X 152, The Right Start, is a two-credit semester-long class (graded A-F) that will give you a personalized introduction to IU Bloomington and an inside peek into the tips and tricks of being a successful college student. Topics covered include academic and cultural resources on the IU campus, how college is different from high school, time management, study skills and how to use Oncourse, drop a class, apply for financial aid, and whatever else you need to know but might be afraid to ask!
In this class, you will explore resources at IU, visit various sites across campus, attend events and concerts for class credit, research and get involved with a campus organization, and develop strategies for being successful in college. Sections are limited to 18 students, so you will get to know your instructor and be supported throughout your whole semester! Former students have great things to say about the Right Start: “I learned things that are on campus that I never would have known about. . . I wish more people knew about this class.”
