Getting Ready for Introductory Statistics

For many students, taking an introductory statistics course involves learning a new vocabulary and a new way of studying. This seminar will assist you in understanding your strengths and challenges, math skills for statistics, and how you can best prepare to be successful in an introduction to statistics right from the beginning.

How can you most effectively take in all the new information in your statistics course, both inside and outside of class? How can you become an independent problem solver – tackling problems on your own without having to rely as much on outside help? This seminar will offer strategies for studying statistics and retaining what you learn. Please bring your statistics textbook with you to this seminar.
